E. Urner Goodman Camping Award
The award was established in 1969 as a tribute and testimonial to the Order's founder, E. Urner Goodman. Its purpose is to encourage and challenge Order of the Arrow members and lodges to increase their effectiveness in promoting and increasing Scout camping in each council.
Only 2 lodges in every region are awarded this great honor. To be given this award, our lodge was looked over by the National Committee of the Order of the Arrow. The National Committee makes their decision based on many aspects, including the number of summer camp staff in the OA, and the attendance of Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts attending summer camp in a lodge.
